'Life is Beautiful' Series

So often I find myself caught in thinking about the things in life that don't re
ally matter. So often I let insignificant problems rob me of all of life's little(big) joys. I have resolved to no longer let laundry get in the way of laughter, work get in the way of wonder or dishes get in the way of delight. Yes, these little tasks of life must go on, but I no longer feel the need to be consumed by them. Hence the start of the Life is Beautiful series. For the next 30 posts, each will contain something I have found beautiful about my life. Something like the above picture which represents only a fraction of the hard work my father and boyfriend accomplished this weekend. It was very beautiful to see the two men I love most working in the same room together. The finished product looks amazing, but what was even more amazing was the time we all spent with each other.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I both had the day off. This has not happened in the whole history of us working(I think). We started the day with conversation and a leisurely breakfast together and the conversation took us all the way to lunch:-) We then took a drive to downtown to spend the rest of the day there.

Finding the Cincinnati Art Museam closed, we decided to take a walk in Eden Park and make our own art. My boyfriend, unknown to most, is a very talented photographer. Aside from the next picture(which I could not help but take for old times sake) I must give the credit to him.

It was a delightful(though chilly) walk. The smile on my face tells the story of the day.

We finished our photowalk and browsed a couple shops before dining at Don Pablo's. After a delightfully relaxing dinner we walked across the purple people bridge to go to a red's game. To which Chris had gotten free tickets from work. All in all, a wonderful day.

That is my beauty for today or rather, yesterday. I guess what I am trying to say is that there is always plenty to see, it is just choosing to see it. I feel like God is always presenting Himself to us but so often we get so caught up in this life that we miss the beautifulness of God in everything.

Until the next post, farewell.
